In December 2025, four cooperatives working with Co-op Rhody submitted retail cannabis license applications.

What’s next? The Rhode Island Cannabis Control Commission is evaluating licenses through Spring 2026. Qualified license applicants will enter a license lottery sometime in Q2 or Q3 2026.
